Usawa Space Organization is a community-based organization working with marginalized communities in Kenya’s ASAL regions, with a focus on Samburu and East Pokot. We believe lasting change is built with communities — not for them.
Our work responds to the realities of pastoralist and marginalized communities where climate change, limited services, mobility, poverty and competition over land and natural resources can deepen inequality. We work alongside communities to strengthen access to education, water and sanitation, health , livelihoods, environmental action and peaceful pathways for addressing conflict.
To build equitable pathways for marginalized communities — placing women and girls at the center, through sustainable initiatives that amplify voices, empower communities, and foster inclusive, lasting transformation.
A just and inclusive society where every person, regardless of gender, age, or socio-economic background, can access opportunities, resources, and the power to shape their future.
